Absolute local focus and commitment
The Engage Marine Group is committed to investing in and supporting the local communities in which we operate. We work closely with local port and community stakeholders when commencing operations and throughout the course of our operations to identify opportunities to maximise the use of local content and ensure regular interfaces and interactions with the lcoal community.
We support and invest in local communities on a number of levels, including:
- Utilising local suppliers where ever possible;
- Establishing a local presence within the community to run our operations;
- Ensuring our team of crews live in the local area and surrounds;
- Sponsoring and supporting local community activities and groups; and
- Offering traineeships to local students and candidates.
Engage Marine is proud to be an official partner of the Clontarf Foundation, which supports young Indigenous men through education, sport, and employment opportunities. Through this partnership, we provide hands-on work experience to students from Clontarf Academies, helping them gain valuable skills in the marine industry.
Additionally, we offer school-based placements to students from Karratha High School and St Luke’s High School, fostering opportunities for students to learn and grow in real-world marine operations.
The majority of our operations are within regional or remote ports and we are proud to be part of the fabric of these communities.
We also work closely with the traditional land owners of each area.We have a proud partnership with the Juru people in Bowen (our Abbot Point operations) and have worked collabortively with them to establish our indigenous traineeship.
