Engage Marine is proud to announce that we have been awarded the long-term contract to provide towage services across four key North Queensland ports: Townsville, Lucinda, Cairns, and Mourilyan. This milestone represents a significant step in our mission to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable maritime services while strengthening relationships with Port of Townsville Limited and Ports North.
A Strategic Partnership
This exciting development follows a competitive tender process and reflects our reputation as a trusted partner in the towage sector. The contract encompasses comprehensive towage services tailored to the unique requirements of each port. As part of this agreement, Engage Marine will take over operations from the current service providers, bringing our expertise and commitment to operational excellence to these vital locations.
Expanding Our Fleet
To support our expanded operations, Engage Marine will deploy a fleet of seven tugboats, enhancing the safety and efficiency of towage services in North Queensland. This includes the acquisition of two newbuild ASD 2813 tugs scheduled for delivery in 2025, complemented by additional already owned vessels to ensure seamless operations. The newbuild tugs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, IMO Tier III compliant, and reflect our ongoing investment in innovation and safety.
