Engage Towage Awarded Carnival Australia Contract
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Engage Towage Sydney Pty Ltd (Engage Towage Sydney) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract to deliver towage services for Carnival Australia’s cruise line operations in Port Jackson, Sydney. Carnival Australia is the nation’s main cruise organisation and accounts for seven distinctive cruise lines that variously base ships year-round in Sydney or on a seasonal basis or visiting on longer international voyages.
Under the contract, Engage Towage will ensure the safe berthing and departure of cruise vessels in Port Jackson across the Carnival Australia brands, to adhere to their advertised cruise schedules.
Westug Announces Award of Contract Extension
Perth, Western Australia: Engage Marine Pty Ltd (Engage Marine) is pleased to announce its Western Australian based entity, Westug, secured a contract extension from Dampier Salt Limited (Dampier Salt) in late 2021.
Westug is the incumbent provider of towage services to Dampier Salt in the port of Cape Cuvier and the contract extension ensures Westug will continue to deliver it high quality of service to a valued client.
Westug operate and maintain three vessels under the contract.
Engage Marine Secures Long Term Endorsed Agreement
Engage Marine Pty Ltd (Engage Marine) is pleased to announce it has secured employee endorsement for a long term Enterprise Agreement (EA) for its Queensland operations, which had the endorsement of all three maritime unions.
Engage Marine commenced negotiations with the three unions in April 2021, following the award of a long term licence to provide towage services at Abbot Point, Queensland. All parties worked together collaboratively and respectfully to achieve this outcome, surpassing the challenges presented by the COVID-19 crisis, particularly in respect to face to face negotiations.
Engage Marine Hosts Opening Day in Bowen
Engage Marine was pleased to welcome key stakeholders to its operations in Bowen, on the 1st of December, as part of its inaugural open day.
Celebrating the successful commencement of operations in October, guests were invited to join tours of the three new-build tugs (the Engage Rebel, Engage Raider and Engage Rogue) to learn more about the technical aspects of the tugs and view the state of art design and components.
Engage Marine Commences Operations in Abbot Point
Engage Marine is pleased to celebrate the commencement of towage operations in Abbot Point, under the licence it was awarded by North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) in April.
Engage Marine performed it’s first shipping movement on Friday 1st October, ensuring the safe berthing of the bulk carrier, Lowlands Dawn at Port of Abbot Point’s North Queensland Export Terminal (NQXT).
Engage Marine Awarded Marine Contract by Port of Townsville
Engage Marine is pleased to announce it was recently awarded the marine pilot transfer services contract by the Port of Townsville.
Engage have now commenced operations which include the maintenance of the Port of Townsville’s pilot boat vessel ‘Mantaray’ and the safe transfer of marine pilots onto vessels arriving and departing into Abbot Point.
Engage Marine was also recently awarded the towage services contract for the Abbot Point operations by North Queensland Bulk Ports.
Engage Marine CEO, Mark Malone, said “we are pleased to be awarded this contract, which in conjunction with the towage services contract, will allow Engage Marine to deliver operational efficiencies to the port’s stakeholders at the Abbot Point terminal.”
